If you’re looking for an amazing place to stay in Uvita, Costa Rica, look no further than Villas Bungalows Ballena. Bungalows Ballena offers apartment-style- (2-4 people) and bungalow-style (5-8 people) villas, each with:

- Fully-equipped kitchens
Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to photograph the bedrooms before all of our luggage took over the rooms. But I can attest that they were indeed cozy and clean.
With all of our adventures outside, like zip-lining, horseback riding, and hiking, we were very grateful to have a place where we could come back and relax in the air conditioning.
The Grounds: Pool, Water Slide, and Waterfall
The shared grounds are safely enclosed with high security walls and feature:

Even if you’re traveling by yourself, you will definitely sleep with peace of mind.
Playa Uvita: The Beach Nextdoor
Should you decide to venture off the grounds (which I highly recommend), you are within easy walking distance of the Ballena Marine National Park in Playa Uvita. Featuring white sand beaches, palm and mangrove trees, and mountain views, this beach is breathtaking. Who knows, you may even see some whales breaching nearby in the crystal blue water (namesake: “whale” in Spanish is “ballena”).
Whether you feel like horseback riding, snorkeling, kayaking, scuba diving, or just sunbathing, Playa Uvita is the picture-perfect place!
And, bonus, there are relatively few tourists, so the beach won’t be very crowded!
